PRINDLE DENOUNCES THE HEALTHCARE BILL PASSED TODAY IN THE HOUSE
March 21, 2010 (Allen, TX) Jim Prindle, Libertarian nominee for U.S. House of Representatives (TX-4), today denounces the House approval of Senate Healthcare Bill in a vote of 219-212. “This is an anti-historic vote and detrimentally changes our form of government by forcing the purchase of healthcare,” said Prindle. “Our Representatives have failed to uphold the trust of their own constituent's; they have passed a bill that is unconstitutional and has overwhelming dissent throughout the populace. This is a federal takeover of healthcare.”
It should be noted that House Rules at times were lax with the 1-minute allotment to Speaker Pelosi that lasted well over 10 minutes (and without challenge) and a breakdown in parliamentary inquiries.
Prindle further stated that, “we will see this tested in the courts and lasting many years forcing Americans to pay for the numerous lawsuits in addition to the total costs of healthcare.” The healthcare bill will affect lives this year as well as those of future generations.
Prindle also opposes this bill for federal funding of abortion. “This is so morally reprehensible for Congress and the President to force those that find abortion repugnant, to now have their tax dollars pay for it. ‘Executive Orders, that go beyond the statutes, are not enforceable,’ there is still NO absolute guarantee that our federal tax dollars will not pay for abortions,” said Jim.
Jim Prindle, former Collin County Chair and intern in the U.S. House, is 43 and resides in Allen, TX. He is a father, a veteran, and a true fiscal conservative.

I agree 100% with you that this is a Federal takeover of healthcare.... but what about people like me.. I've worked my whole life and about 4 years ago had to leave my job because of health problems. My husband was in between helping start up an HVAC Company and so of course, NO INSURANCE. I was waiting until they got established and employees in place and we would get quotes and coverage. Well not soon enough, I was diagnosed with a 10 cm tumor (picture Grapefruit) on the Main artery of my heart.. Okay, no Insurance company wanted to touch me and still doesn't 3 years later. We have too much income for assistance, but should we go bankrupt because of Medical bills. Not a soul on this US Soil would cover me or help Save MY LIFE! I was very lucky and blessed that Larry King had a Cardiac Foundation and was willing to pay for my surgery.. With all the emotional stress my husband and I split and all I can say is at least I was alive, Thanks ONLY to The Larry King Cardiac Foundation. So you can see why I am torn, although I DO NOT really want my Healthcare being forced onto me in such a manner, at least it would help those unfortunate people like myself... Just my opinion..
