Prindle Calls for New Generation of Leadership in 2010 Elections
April 19, 2009
(Allen, Texas) - Jim Prindle, Libertarian nominee for Texas Congressional District 4, made this statement regarding the election results from Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Arkansas.
"Last night, the American populace spoke the message of liberty once again. The movement against the social takeover of big government and superfluous, out-of-control spending has won major victories in several states. For example, Sen. Arlen Specter (D-PN), recent party switcher and 30-year career politician, lost his primary for a 6th term. Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-AR), renowned for her recent 'bribe', in the form of a special program in the Obama-care legislation, now faces a run-off election against challenger Lt. Gov Bill Halter. And, Rand Paul, son of Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX), easily won his primary bid for Senator of Kentucky.
This is not just a vote against incumbents, this is a vote against Obama, his socialist takeover, and those that stood-by and allowed this to happen, and it is time for a New Generation of leaders to take-back our government and restore it to the people. We will win the Battle of 2010. However, we must look past 2010 to win the war. We must elect Representatives that will be present and lead in the years to come. November 2010 allows Americans the best chance in recent elections to correct this left move like a market rebound on Wall Street.
Americans everywhere are standing up and saying we will not accept this anymore. We will not accept government dictating to the people. And, we are not going to vote for a government that the citizens will continue to fear. The Tea Party movement has inspired and kept a spotlight on these injustices."
Jim Prindle faces 30-year incumbent Congressman Ralph Hall, the oldest living member of the House of Representatives, in the November 2nd general election, who will seek a 15th term.
