Former Gubernatorial Candidate Joins Prindle for Congress Campaign
June 16th, 2010
(Austin, Texas) - Steve Nichols, after withdrawing from the race for the Gubernatorial nomination of the Libertarian Party of Texas, has become Chairman of the Drive to the House Campaign to elect Jim Prindle to Congress from Texas’ 4th district. Nichols ended his candidacy to support Prindle, who faces 30-year-incumbent Ralph Hall, a Democrat until 2003, when he switched to the Republican Party.
“I’m proud to join Jim Prindle’s campaign for Congress as Chairman,” Nichols said, “And I am very optimistic to see what he will do not only for the 4th district of Texas, but also for the cause of liberty in America”
Prindle and Nichols launched their campaigns together, promising to bring the message of liberty to Texas and to the nation. At the Libertarian Party of Texas State Convention in Austin, Steve Nichols announced he would end his campaign and join Jim’s effort to be elected to Congress.
Prindle faces 30-year-incumbent Ralph Hall in the November 2nd general election.
